Ocala Fiber Communication

Avondale Homeowners Association Communication

At the July 10th quarterly board meeting, a representative from Ocala Fiber came to provide information on potentially bringing Ocala Fiber internet to the Avondale community.  Please note, this is being organized by the Avondale HOA as a courtesy/liaison for the community.

Below we have summarized those key points for your review.

  1. There is no initial or future cost to the Avondale Homeowners Associations for infrastructure to bring Ocala fiber into the community.
  2. The household commitment would consist of a 3-year contract agreement between homeowner and Ocala Fiber with a locked in rate of $69.99 a month for 1 Gigabit/s.
  3. Ocala Fiber would need to have the commitment/contract with 25-30 households to move forward with bringing this service to the community.
  4. This is ONLY an internet option and Ocala Fiber does NOT provide any phone or television services. All households could continue to maintain their current cable/phone companies (i.e., Cox Communication) for those services.

If you are interested in moving forward, please reply to the email and we can connect you with the appropriate contact at Ocala Fiber.

If you have additional questions, please let us know.

Thank you,

Your Board of Directors

Ocala Fiber Update

Hello neighbors,

We’ve been heard! Thank you to everyone who has completed the Ocala Fiber Internet link that was sent out late last week.  As you may know, Avondale is a development outside of their current pre-planned subdivisions, but they do have a proposal for areas that have a large request for this service.  There are a few steps and considerations prior to moving forward with Ocala Fiber and the first step is collecting a count of homeowners who would accept services from Ocala Fiber.  If you are interested and would consider taking on service if Ocala Fiber was a service provider, please send us an email with your name, email address, and lot number.  We must have 30% of the neighborhood accept services prior to us moving into the next step of the process.

If you have any questions please reach out.

Sincerely,

Your board of directors
