Annual meeting December 3rd, 2014

Dear Association Members,

Our annual meeting of the members will occur on Wednesday, December 3rd. More information about the meeting, including time and place, will be forthcoming. Our by-laws require that we meet the first Wednesday in December. All those interested in serving as an elected Director should reply to this email not later than November 18th, so that their names can appear on the official ballot. The ballot will also include the proposed budget for 2015. At least 10 days prior to the meeting date you will receive the ballot hand delivered to your mailbox and by email.

Your continued interest in the affairs of your Avondale Homeowners’ Association is greatly appreciated.

Respectfully submitted,
Your Board of Directors

Joe Respoli, Director and President
Jim Herzberger, Director and Vice President
Berne Stalzer, Director, Secretary/Treasurer, and Operations Manager

It seems we’re still having a speeding issue in the neighborhood. Whether it’s a member, renter, visitor, or commercial traffic, it’s becoming a problem – a danger. The neighborhood, again, includes younger children.
Please observe the subdivision general speed limit of 20 mph, and 10 mph on the SE 23rd Avenue curves. We will probably be adding some additional speed limit signage to make everyone more aware. Should you see visitors or commercial traffic exceeding the speed limit, please, give them a hand signal to slow down – No, not that hand signal! Let’s keep the neighborhood safe.

Thanks again for your co-operation.

Recently noticed was a broken sprinkler head riser in the island at our entrance. Someone also turned off our sprinkler system. Perhaps one and the same individual. Regardless, turning the sprinkler system off affects the watering of all community common landscaped areas. This can result in damage to those areas. Please notify an association officer if you ever see anything awry. Should a member turn off a utility feature for some reason, please let us know immediately.
Thanks for your co-operation.

Recently noticed was where a homeowner doing maintenance on their property trimmed back a tree branch which was on community property but extended to their property. Should you do maintenance on your property which affects community property, please advise an association officer in advance of doing so. Further, please clean-up any debris which falls on community property. Also, trim back any limb(s) to their source at the tree trunk, if necessary, to avoid an otherwise unsightly appearance.
Thanks for your co-operation.
