Avondale is a planned residential community created in January, 1988 in Southeastern Ocala, Florida.

Ocala is a growing city in North Central Florida, more commonly known as the Heart of Florida. It is surrounded by beautiful horse farms and is considered the Horse Capital of the World. It’s central location means that it’s an hour from either coast, Atlantic or Gulf of Mexico, and an hour north of Orlando.

We enjoy a moderate climate, diverse economy and an excellent public education system. Although we are a growing community we have maintained a warm and friendly hometown atmosphere. We have beautiful historic districts and are proud to be a Tree City U.S.A.

The homeowners of the subdivision have created an association governed by a set of covenants to maintain the standards and lifestyle of our beautiful neighborhood.
