AVONDALE HOMEOWNERS NEWSLETTER
October 2007

Dear Neighbors:

We are happy to report on our financial stability as compared to a year ago. At the end of this year, we expect to have a balance in our budget of $13,000 due to the good work of VOLUNTEERS We have a full board of VOLUNTEERS for 2007, and have saved considerable dollars by not having to use a brokerage firm.
VOLUNTEERS have made themselves available to work on the sprinkler system, deliver mailings, maintain address lists, create and maintain the website, welcome new neighbors, change light bulbs, pull weeds, trim bushes, and other tasks which go unnoticed—but are necessary to keep our neighborhood informed and spiffy.

In 2008 we need you to help us run our organization so that we do not have to pay an outside firm to write our checks and track our bookkeeping. We have accountants, lawyers, medical professionals, business professionals, computer wizards, teachers, retirees, homemakers and many others in our neighborhood who are NEEDED. Your knowledge and experience will prove valuable in running our organization. It does not require a lot of time – just a commitment of a few hours a month on your part.

Come to the board meetings and meet new neighbors and share your ideas. YOU ARE NEEDED TO HELP KEEP AVONDALE ON A SURE FOOTING. HELP US SO THAT WE ARE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH THE PROGRESS REALIZED THIS YEAR.

  • IN OCTOBER A NEW BUDGET FOR 2008 WILL BE PREPARED.
  • IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER, NOMINATIONS FOR OUR NEW BOARD WILL BE SOLICITED.
  • IN DECEMBER, THE NEIGHBORHOOD WILL VOTE ON THE BUDGET AND FOR THE 2008 BOARD MEMBERS.

We look forward to your suggestions and participation in the coming weeks and months.
